Hair Club for Jeremy

I have been a fan of Jeremy Piven since the days when he was on Ellen Degeneres' first sitcom in the mid-90's, and how could you not love him on "Entorage?" So, I have been happy seeing so much of him on TV lately promoting his new movie "Smokin' Aces."

Since I have seen him so much in the last week, I have been struck by his hair.

Take a look at his luscious locks:

But Jeremy, come on, who do you think you are kidding?

Obviously, he's had something done to his hair. Was it hair plugs? Toupee? Whatever it is, I think I actually prefer the balding Jeremy. I think his soaring fame is literally going to his head.

Harold and Kumar no more

Quick thought: So far, I am really enjoying the new season of "24." However, I find it very disconcerting that Kal Penn of "Harold and Kumar" is playing an evil terrorist. I know it's just a character, but for some reason, it saddens me to see him play evil.

He will always be Kumar in my heart.

Oh, and how awesome was it that Sacha Baron Cohen won a Golden Globe last night, and his accompanying speech?

O.C, I barely knew ye

I heard the news this afternoon: after four years, the O.C. has been cancelled.

A year ago, I would not have cared. However, this season, I have actually somewhat gotten into the show, more than any time before. And just when I start to kind of get into the stupid show, Fox cancels it!

I think I will be okay, but Stone Groove is very upset. Listmaker left a nice message consoling him. I hope that Stone Groove, Melissa, and Jonathan can learn to live without the O.C. in the difficult days that lay ahead.

O.C.: Thanks for the memories.

New Year's

This year for New Year's, I went to a place I never thought I would: Times Square. Why would I want to go to a crowded place where people camp out overnight in the cold, all to see a stupid ball drop?

That was all before I knew that Liz's brother Tom was in the NYPD and could easily get us a space in Times Square without actually having to wait outside for hours.

Before heading out; what some people might call "pre-gaming."

We get a few blocks from Times Square around 11PM, only to find ourselves at a complete standstill on the sidewalk. When an old guy behind me started to molest me, I began to think this Times Square thing might not have been the best idea after all.

Liz then called her brother, and somehow he found us in the madness.

Tom got us through the crowd, and led us through the closed streets, past guarded gates. Megan and I could not wipe the silly grins off our faces. We got to Times Square around 11:45.

Megan, very excited.

Liz and Jess, not quite as excited.

The countdown begins

It's 2007!

Confetti madness

Overall, this was probably the best New Year's I've had in quite a while.
